“Gift the FIT”, laungift-kwhched yesterday, is a new initiative started by an ENOVA Energy customer with the aim of helping ‘energy cost stressed’ householders. It works by gifting the solar feed-in tariff (FIT) credits in a customers account to someone else in need. For example, a medium to largish PV Solar system and low power consumption may lead to ever increasing credits in the account month after month – this works particularly well if the feed-in tariff is high (say, 16 cents per kWh as with ENOVA), and the daytime energy usage is low.

The first gift-giver has been found; one family or individual will soon be happy to have a credit of around $900 applied to their account. We at GOODBYEGRID applaud ENOVAEnergy  for organising this charitable scheme and encourage more energy users with credits in their account to come to the party. Interested: Phone ENOVA at 5622 1700.
